Plainly, and before anything else: Dijon Wine Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.
What that means in practice
The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.
What we are not
We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.
We have no connection with any domain, winery, cellar or négociant, with the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne, with the Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin, the Hospices de Beaune or the Château du Clos de Vougeot, with the Dijon tourist office, or with any of the places these tours stop at.
How tours get listed
Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is the platform's own, and we keep it only where the tour's figures support it: a Top rated badge stays only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, so the platform's tag on three listings rated 4.7 and 4.8 is not shown. Two operators sell the same day on both platforms, and each appears on its own because each is separately bookable and priced; they are never shown side by side.
The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different ways to spend the time: 90 minutes in a cellar in the centre, a full day by minivan on both côtes, and a day by e-bike on the Côte de Beaune with lunch.
Prices, ratings and how current they are
Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 25 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every tour fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. Every fare here is per person, and some private days need two people to book.
The sight prices we print are in euros, as each sight publishes them. The Dijon facts come from the Dijon tourist office and the Cité, the appellation figures from the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne, the World Heritage listing from UNESCO, the Clos de Vougeot's hours and tour prices from its own site, the wine sale from the Hospices de Beaune, and the climate normals from Météo-France's Dijon-Longvic station. Where a detail comes from an operator's listing, such as a meeting point, a group size or a stop, it belongs to that tour.
What we deliberately do not publish
- The Musée des Beaux-Arts' hours and prices. Its own pages did not show them when we read them; check its site before you go.
- The prices of the École des vins workshops, the tourist office's wine walk and its Jeudis Vins tastings. They were not published where we read them.
- A plain Clos de Vougeot admission. We print its EUR 15 guided tour, which the château publishes; the unguided price was not on the pages we read.
- A harvest date or a 2026 Hospices auction time. Ripeness sets the harvest; the Hospices publish the sale date, 15 November 2026, but not the hour.
- A train timetable. The Paris to Dijon times we print are one operator's example; check SNCF for your own date.
- Listing claims no official source supports. Some listings call the Route des Grands Crus, or one Grand Cru, a UNESCO site. UNESCO lists the Climats of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune with the historic centres of Dijon and Beaune, and we say that instead.
